YouTube plugin error

I can't get this to work:

just looking to add some links to same-page content, you can add HTML anchor links to a page, using the HTML/Javascript plugin.  Just click "Insert Plugin" in the editor and choose "HTML/Javascript" in the PBworks magic category.  Then insert the HTML for an anchor link into the HTML plugin (see image below), using the following HTML tags to create an anchor point:

<a name="anchor_name">Target Text</a>

  • The anchor_name will be used in the link to tell your browser where to go.  Short, one-word anchor names are ideal.

  • The Target Text refers to the actual text content of the page to which you are attaching the "anchor".  When a user clicks on a finished anchor link, his/her browser will move its focus to the Target Text, so that it appears at the top of the page.

Once you have the anchors inserted, you can create links that point to the anchor name that you identified previously, using this format:

http://workspacename.pbworks.com/PageName#anchor_name

I never thought of a narrative having a thesis before.  Just thinking of it like that might help me write one.  I was also wondering if the feedback we're supposed to be doing this week is supposed to be like what we did last week with the Gutter, and Prose Activation prompts, or something different.  It might be nice to have some feedback on whether those assignments were done "correctly."  ~Travis

  • Where exactly are we supposed to post our blogs? In a blog site that we link to our Course Roster? Or in our Course Roster page itself?

Short answer: yes, create a new wiki page and link it to the roster page. That way you have your own space that we can find, and likewise if everyone else does the same, you can find everyone else. I'm glad you ask this question, Amanda. I was thinking about this today. I was reflecting on the dynamics of our conversation, and when I began to immerse myself again in the wiki, I began to think differently about the way I have been, for a while now, making a space for getting started and for finding each other on the same space. Again, this time the course roster page is also the springboard/"blogogenesis" page. These initial conditions do well to guarantee that, like a flock of starling, we both stay together and give each other enough space, and quell fears about a new (and fluid) medium, and how it may/may not comport with other classroom scripts. But are these the best initial conditions for us? Perhaps for the week 2->week 3 interval, we should slow down and focus on one or two common texts, and post our responses to one page (perhaps week 3 on the Course Calendar, and see , edit by edit, bit by bit, post by post, what happens? Other ideas?

Amanda, thank you for asking--your question pulled me into the wiki, and will hopefully initialize a conversation about how to script the next few weeks so as to include a balance of the possibilities we glimpsed in our first meeting.
