"Life is making the composition.  Experience is the writer.  Knowledge is the editing filter" - Susan Hodgkins

nonmandatory FCT courtyard gathering, Tuesday, December 8, 6pm

(we can of course migrate to another nearby location once we determine the composition of the gathering)

agenda (add items!):

jamming on final projects, bearing witness to final presentations/performances,  going off topic, scrying ENC 4260/6421

attending:

ShareRiff

Carola

I will start with a cut-up of some poetry and prose from our wiki....and beyond

individual rhythms , unique neural measurements available from use in both and on, searching,

an hourglass is overturned

and I keep a reminder to me…Take: of me (in “key down” and algorithm, which determines Live!”)

Sounds echoing off to develop a future authentication. Raw, a key pressed, together in energy.

Hi Trey! I am up for meeting next week. I can meet Tuesday during regular class time or any day after that. I am thinking about scrapping my research project and taking another route. I will use the same research, just ask a different question with it. I think the topic is just too big for me, as is. I don't have enough research to answer whether ESL can be universally taught. (I only have two interviews!) I think that is why I am having such a hard time completing it. I think I am going to write about what to expect if someone were to take an ESL instruction position abroad. I think that is the direction the research is pointing. :) What do you think?

Good idea, Tuesday night should be open for all of us, yes?
Carola, don't "scrap" just repurpose the research and winnow via analysis of the ads. The ads are interesting because they seem portentious....or, at the very least, symptomatic of some market forces that you could teach your audience about. http://convergentemergence.pbworks.com/Carola+-+Rough+Draft+of+Final+Project
Let's keep jamming, share your questions and experiments as you go so we can get the momentum you need! It shall be!

Tuesday night at our regular meeting time is fine with me. We can't meet in our regular classroom?

Are we meeting to do more presentations or just to hang out?

We can meet at the Shambhala center if people would like to do that. We could hook a computer up to the TV, or if someone has a projector we could project onto the wall. We could incorporate some sitting meditation before, during, or after for those who are interested. Just throwing it out there. I'm down for whatever.

I was reminded today that the kids violin concert is Tuesday night. This throws a wrench in my Tuesday night ideas. It doesn't look like we're getting much of a response to meet either.

so far, I know for sure that Tuesday night is a no-go for Travis, Kori, and Kelli. Update us, everybody. In the meantime, I highly recommend checking out jazztube: http://www.jazztube.com/jazztubefreejazz.html

I will meet up where ever to drop off my zine. If there is no class would it be alright if I give it to you on Thursday since I have an exam?

I am still good to meet tomorrow or any day after. I have a hard copy of my project to turn in, as well. :) I will check tomorrow at 11 for the game time decision.

Alright, folks, I will be at FCT courtyard at 6 tonight, ready to jam on final projects. For those who have other obligations early tonight, I can stay in convergentemergent mode until later in the evening, as well.
